Clara Korkor Mensah

Clara is responsible for helping to build financial independence and resilience among rural communities, particularly women and youth, while contributing to the broader operational objectives of BfDG. She ensures that persons with disabilities (PWDs) are fully included and actively participate in all BfDG projects and activities. She is also responsible for removing barriers, advocating for inclusion, and promoting equity in sustainable development, particularly in beekeeping initiatives. She has a background in entomology and trained as a Professional Woman Beekeeper Trainer with us and is now one of our trainers. She holds a degree in Entomology and Wildlife from the University of Cape Coast. Other duties include assisting in day-to-day field operations and preparing work plans and budgets for field operations. Clara also assists in field follow-ups to ensure trained beekeepers are building hives and establishing apiaries. She also assists in data collection. She is motivated to help people improve their livelihoods through sustainable beekeeping. She loves being out in nature and loves animals, especially bees.
